Semarang – PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) is holding a photo contest entitled “2014 Airport Photo Contestâ€, in commemorating its 50th anniversary. The General Affairs and Communication Section Head of PT Angkasa Pura I Ahmad Yani Airport, Anom, stated, this contest has three categories offering cash prizes worth Rp 77 million .
The photo contest with the theme ‘The Glory of Serving’ is divided into three categories, which are: general public, journalists, and employees of Angkasa Pura I. Anom explained that the General Public category is for citizens including students, university students, or other professions. Meanwhile the Journalist Category is for print media photographers in local, national, international, news office, or online media level. Whereas the Employee Category includes employees of Angkasa Pura Airports, such as permanent employees, PKWT, or outsourced staff of Angkasa Pura I as well as employees of subsidiary companies, foundation or the affiliations of Angkasa Pura I.
“ We will choose four winners and ten best nominees from each category,†Anom added as quoted in Tribun Jateng, on Monday (19/4/2014). According to this Yogyakarta native, the photo should illustrate the service spirit at the airport; it can be a service by airports’ officers or showing the facilities that are provided for the convenience of airport users.
The photo objects can consist of parts of the airport buildings or physical objects or even activities in one of the fourteen airports in the Eastern and Central Indonesia managed by Angkasa Pura Airports. The fourteen airports include Adi Sutjipto Airport (Yogyakarta), Adisoemarmo Airport (Surakarta), Ahmad Yani Airport (Semarang), Juanda Airport (Surabaya), and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport (Bali).
Anom continued explaining “Besides the aboevmentioned airports, the other airports are, Lombok International Airport (Praya),Selaparang Airport (Mataram), Eltari Airport (Kupang), Syamsudin Noor Airport (Banjarmasin), Sepinggan Airport (Balikpapan), and Sam Ratulangi Airport (Manado), Sultan Hasanuddin Airport (Makassar), Pattimura Airport(Ambon), as well as Frans Kaisiepo Airport (Biak). “Each contestant can send a maximum of 5 photos.
