Ambon -  Three people found death and dozens injured due to Airplane crash of Natsepa Air B737-900 ER with the flight number NS 0311 ETA that flight from Biak to Ambon on 09.30 WIB. Natsepa Air obliged to make emergency landing in the runway area of Pattimura Airport after it was known trouble engine no 2 conditions or right side machine trouble. Previously, Natsepa Air looked swing to the right side and out of the runway,  then a few minutes later, a very loud sound of explosion heard caused by the airplane crushed drainage. Seeing this situation, the officer directly went to the crash area to rescue and estinguish the fire and evacuate the victims of Natsepa Air crash, which had been burned in the northern runway 22 Pattimura Airport, Ambon (10/4). From the evacuation that had been done, 3 death victims were found, 15 bad injuries, and 32 small injuries and 150 survivors.

Fortunately, the above situation was only a part of training scenario of Emergency Response (PKD) or Airport Emergency Plan Bandara Pattimura. From the event, it was recorded 2 minutes 15 second emergency response time, which meant this emergency response was much better than the standards stipulated by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), 3 minutes.

This Pattimura Airport PKD Training involved 500 personnel who among others were from TNI AU, Transportation Department of Ambon, BMKG, Basarnas, Fire Department of  Ambon, Region Police of Ambon, Harbour Health Office (KKP) of Pattimura Airport, Pattimura Airport Hospital, Hative Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital, Sumber Hidup Hospital, Bhakti Rahayu Hospital, Latumeten Hospital, Haulussy Region Hospital, BMKG, Natsepa Airlines,  and internal parties of Angkasa Pura I Pattimura Airport.

“This PKD training had been conducted three times, this activity is carried out to chech the personnel reliability, safety equipment and as the learning process in order to make all personnels ready with the current condition in the field,” said Halendra Woworuntu, General Manager Pattimura Airport. “ This PKD activity also evaluates Procedure Operational tandards and constitutes medium for all airport staffs to test and evaluate the function of coordination, communication and command among units in accordance with the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) and Aiport Security Program (ASP) that had been made,” Halendra added.

PKD activity that is done in Pattimura Air was not only a simulation of airplane crash by also bom threat and fire in the airport area.”All simulations performed run smoothly, the personnel was responsive to overcome emergency situation, safety tools were also well functioned,” he said.
