SIDOARJO - Faced with an emergency situation, the Juanda airport, Surabaya held plane crash rescue training. In this simulation, there is a Boeing 737-800 crashed before landing at Juanda Airport, Monday (13/10/2014). In the accident, as if there were 15 fatalities in this accident, while hundreds more injured.

The aircraft that crashed was in a state of split and burn. Air Traffic Control (ATC) officer of Juanda Airport directly rang the crash bell. Soon, a team of Airport Fire Fighting and Rescue (AFFR) move directly to extinguish the fire from the aircraft numbered SUB301 majors Surabaya-Denpasar. However, this situation is just an emergency response simulated scenario (PKD) of Juanda Airport.

President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Tommy Soetomo, said PKD is a routine exercise held to deal with emergency situations. Not only plane crash situations, this exercise also exercise the Juanda Airport personnel to anticipate terrorist attacks in the form of a bomb threat.
