JAKARTA - The ceremony to commemorate the 50th PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Anniversary in 2014 was conducted in the Head Office of Angkasa Pura Airports, Kemayoran, Jakarta, in Thursday morning (20/02). The ceremony started at 07.30 WIB and followed by all board of directors and employees of Angkasa Pura Airports in the Head Office and the subsidiaries. Acting as the ceremonial’s commander was the Operational Directors, Yushan Sayuti.
In a speech of President Director read by the ceremonial commander, during the 50th years of Angkasa Pura Airports managing the air port is proven that Angkasa Pura is strong and capable to adapt many conditions. “During this time, Angkasa Pura Airport has proudly recorded achievements in national or international levels, among others the award from ASEAN Airport of The Year 2013, which was received from Juanda International Airport Surabaya, Sapta Pesona Award from the Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economics and the Pelayanan Prima/Excellent Service Award from the Transportation Ministry that was received by several airports of Angkasa Pura Airports, as well as success to support APEC 2013 by operating a new international terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali.
"Besides, in terms of managerial, many kinds of awards were gained by Angkasa Pura Airports, either by agency, institution, mass media or other professionals societies, which all of those awards were a recognition of Angkasa Pura Airports’ seriousness in performing good corporate governance," Yushan added.
Yushan opinions that in 2014 Angkasa Pura Airports has also succeed to operate T2 of Juanda International Airport Surabaya following with the operation of Sepinggan International Airport Balikpapan and starting the development of Syamsudin Noor International Airport Banjarmasin and Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang. As the peak, a new Airport of Yogyakarta in Kulon Progo and T2 of Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar shall be constructed. "Those airport’s constructions and developments constituted the commitment of Angkasa Pura Airports to the stakeholders and the answer of people’s mandate to the Angkasa Pura State Company 50 years ago. To realize this big dream, it will require a lot of energy and ethusiasm. I am sure it is already available in ourselves," Yushan said firmly.
The theme of Angkasa Pura Airports anniversary in this year is “In the Golden Age, We Optimize Business Potential to be One of Ten Best Company for Airport Management in Asia. Through this anniversary momment, Yushan expected all team in Angkasa Pura Airports can continually give their best performaces and efforts. "Surely, nothing late to start something good, pricefull for our beloved state and country. Let us together to run faster to catch up the backwardness to reach an opportunity by maximizing all potentials," urged Yushan.
After ceremony, the process of cutting Tumpeng is performed in the Lobby of Angkasa Pura Airports Head Office, witnessed by the board of directors, management and employees.
