BANDUNG - Angkasa Pura I organized the first Airport Security National Jamboree in Situ Lembang, Bandung, West Java (23/3). The event, which was held for 6 days in cooperation with Pusdikpassus as instructor builder. Jamboree is not only attended by participants from Airport Security of Angkasa Pura I but also followed by the participants of Angkasa Pura II. This first Airport Security Jamboree was implemented in the theme Building Cooperation and Enhance Professionalism Airport Security with SMS motto ie Smile, Measurable, and Secure.

President Director of Angkasa Pura I explained that the holding of this jamboree activities intended to establish and train a private Airport Security reliable and high-minded nationalism so as to prevent interference in civil aviation security. "We are very concerned with the safety and security in the airport environment, that's the reason this event is held as it includes the materials and methods of dealing with problems at the airport," he said at the opening of this jamboree.

The event, which was followed by hundreds of participants is held in an open field with materials that are adapted to the working needs as Military Martial Arts, Knife Throwing Techniques, Line-Line, Rowing LCR, a technique using rifles and pistols, and so on. "This activity aims to create familiarity and corps spirit and form a response personnel and prepared to deal with problems at the airport as well as a means to build synergies and improve the understanding of national and international regulations (ICAO)," added Tommy Soetomo.

Events Airport Security Jamboree is a continuation of activities after the implementation of simulated Emergency Response (PKD) in Semarang Ahmad Yani Airport on March 18, 2015 last. Furthermore Airport Security will continue to be trained in a simulated Emergency Response (PKD) in Lombok International Airport in May. [PD]
