MAROS - To commemorate World Environment Day 2014 as well as a series of golden anniversary, Angkasa Pura Airports hold a seminar on the environment. The seminar keynote speakers were the academics and experts in environment this was held at the Hotel Aryaduta Makassar on Wednesday (13/08).
"World Environment Day which falls every year on June 5th is a global campaign to raise awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. Related to that, Angkasa Pura Airports as airport Management Company is very concerned about the environmental issues, given the operational an airport has the impact and influence of the environment, such as air quality, noise, water use, until the problem is either solid or liquid waste, "said Operation Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Yushan Sayuti.
According Yushan, one of the five strategic directions Angkasa Pura I is a positive contribution to the environment. "That is, we see that the management and monitoring of the environment is one of the main considerations in the entire business process. Through seminar themed environment, we want to establish a company that has a high awareness and commitment to the environment," he added.
The seminar keynote speakers include DR. Eko Sugiharto of UGM which was presented "Airport Management Environment", Prof. Dr. Harini Muntasib (Professor of IPB) presenting "Eco Airport", Yusfandri Gona (Director of Aviation Security Ministry of Transportation) presenting "RAN GRK Implementation in the Air Transport Sector", and Yazid Nurhuda (Assistant Deputy Ministry of Environment International Agreements) with the material "Environmental Law ".
As a series of commemorative activities of World Environment Day, tomorrow (14/08) Angkasa Pura Airports will also conduct planting 2,000 trees and making 50 holes in the area biopori symbolically Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Maros. In addition to officials Angkasa Pura Aiports, this event will also involve the Vice Governor of South Sulawesi, Regent Maros, Danlanud Hasanuddin Makassar, as well as the airport community.
