Jakarta - Angkasa Pura Airports plan to rearrange the lisences of small unlisenced companies that involved in the ground handling business in Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar. The reason was these companies disturb the presence of other players that have operation lisence in such airport. Corporate Secretary of Angkasa Pura Airports Farid Indra Nugraha said, there were more than 10 ground handling service companies in Ngurah Rai Airport. However, among these companies, there were several unlicensed ground handling companies.

“There are more than 10 ground handling companies that work in the airport area, for example Gapura Angkasa, Angkasa Jasa Semesta, cooperative and unlisenced small company but operated local,” He conveyed to Liputan6.com, Jakarta, as written Thursday (10/4/2014). Farid admitted, ground handling business competition in Ngurah Rai Airport is quite hard. Since every day dozens of flight traffic passing by in this international airport.

“They are available but may not have any lisence from the Transportation Ministry. They may cooperate with other ground handling company to borrow equipment due to incomplete facilities. They can also work together with the assisted airlines,” he conveyed. Therefore, He said, his party will rearrange ground handling companies, especially unlisenced companied in Ngurah Rai airport. “ being arranged and reorganized so that the company that wants to business shall meet safety and security standards by having international standards equipments,” Farid explains.
