Angkasa Pura Airports Siap Sosialisasi Bandara Kulon Progo

JAKARTA – Angkasa Pura Aiports is ready to deliver a socialization of the new airport development plan in Kulon Progo, Special Province of Yogyakarta, as a requirement of Location Establishment Permit from the governor. Corporate Communication Department Head of Angkasa Pura Airports, Handy Heryudhitiawan, said that the government-owned company is now ready to do socialization to the community surrounding the future airport area.

“We have finalized the socialization material, delivery technique and strategy, and supporting data, e.g. regarding which facilities that are within the development area of the new airport, supported by Kulon Progo Regency Government,” he said on Monday (30/06/2014). He also explained that a thorough preparation is a must, because prior the socialization, they have to study the situation and condition of the neighboring community which lives surround the new airport.

He also added that a comprehensive preparation is also done to accommodate community’s needs so that the airport development will not cause a negative effect to its surrounding. He confirmed that the Community Development of Angkasa Pura Airports has prepared several programs for the neighboring residents of the new airport and has conveyed the view that the airport development will not leave out local residents.

“We are continuously working together with Kulon Progo Regency Government and the airport development team to launch the socialization event as soon as possible. We are also going to sit down and discuss a compensation plan with the local residents,” he said. (Pardika Dewi RS/Source: bisnis.com)
