BALIKPAPAN - Comission II DPRD Balikpapan who handle economic and tourism praises a new International Airport Sepinggan Balikpapan. They consider the rate adjustment of Aiplane Passangers Service (PJP2U) has reasonable to the service provided.
“We intentionally reviews the airport condition whether meet to what was conveyed in the hearing with us. In fact, it is indeed suitable. The service is much better. However, it is a new airport, if there is shortcoming, of course, it shall be evaluated gradually.†Said the Chairman of Commission II Patly Parakkasi while having inspection on the new terminal of Sepinggan Airport yesterday (3/4).
According to him, the adjustment of PJP2U rate shall not be argued anymore because it has become the authority of Transportation Ministry and had been discussed with Angkasa Pura Airports, the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) and the Ministry of Transportation. It meets the Law Number 1 Year 2009 on Aviation. “If the governments of districts/cities wants to communicate and raise questions on PJP2U, they can ask and coordinate with us,†Patly said.

In such meetig, GM Angkasa Pura Airports of Sepinggan Airport, Wendo Asrul Rose explains the background of PJP2U rate adjustment.
The Public Relation of Angkasa Pura Airports of Sepinggan Airport Awaluddin said, many facilities were still incomplete, however it did not disturb any airport operational activity. For example, the parking building with 2.310 parking lots capacities. Today, the building has finished and had used. But, our plan to divide into stayed parking lot, VIP and platinum was still not accomplished. Our target was soon, but the projection will be in two months,†He explained.
