SEMARANG - Angkasa Pura Airports Ahmad Yani Airport Branch revitalizes several facilities anticipating passengers rush on the upcoming school break and Idul Fitri holiday. General Affair and Communication Section Head of Angkasa Pura Airport Ahmad Yani Airport, Anom Fitranggono, predicted an increase on passenger number between 5 to 10 percent.

Based on last year’s trend, passenger number during school break increased around 5 to 10 percent compared to regular schedules with average of 4.000 to 5.000 passengers a day. Thus, added Anom, Angkasa Pura Airports as the operator continues to enhance airport’s facilities. The priority of improvement area of Angkasa Pura Airports Ahmad Yani Airport is now the recondition of the airport’s apron. This is due to two times of collapses happened to the apron’s parking stand number six, just within five months (January – May).

"It will affect the upcoming tight flight schedules, because on holidays there will be some extraflights of several airways, hence we will prioritize the recondition of apron parking stand 1 through 6," explained this blue shirt officer to Tribun Jateng, Wednesday (4/6/2014).
