JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports has asked employees to work from home in order to protect their health and prevent the spread of novel coronavirus or COVID-19.

This policy applies to all employees at the head office in Jakarta, 15 airport branch offices for administrative employees and employees of five subsidiaries from March 17, 2020 until further notice.

"This effort is the commitment of the management to protect and prioritize the health of all Angkasa Pura Airports employees from getting infected with COVID-19 and to carry out appeals from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to implement the concept of social distancing," said Angkasa Pura Airports president director Faik Fahmi.

In implementing work from home policy, Angkasa Pura Airports is supported by a digital work platform Office Collaboration Platform (OCP) which has an important role to improve work performance and productivity in the digital age. Angkasa Pura Airports have also used SAP, which has a pivotal role in monitoring the administration, business and financial of the company.

"In addition, we also have the Electronic Service Manuscript Application (TNDE) so that all Angkasa Pura Airports can work from home in the current situation," Faik added.

Work from home is carried out alternately between two working groups except to employees over 50 years old. “In general, all employees of Angkasa Pura Airports who work from home have been provided with facilities that allow them to work remotely in a comfortable, efficient manner and not reduce productivity, just like working in the office," Faik said.
