JAKARTA - Stepping the age of 50 in 2014, PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) or Angkasa Pura Airports as one of the airports management company in the country is determined to further improve its services to the users. One is through the development and construction airports under the management of the company. Since 2010, management Angkasa Pura Airports perform the construction and development of the airport as a commitment to provide security, safety, and comfort of international standards for the users of the airport services. 

Acceleration of development and airport development undertaken Angkasa Pura Airports is the response of a paradigm shift from mere "infrastructure provider" to the concept of "Service Company". This effort was also made as part of a major program of transformation of the company, which is known as repositioning and restructuring of the business to the world class airport. The result, Lombok International Airport in Praya, Central Lombok, officially opened October 20, 2011, to replace Selaparang Airport, Mataram. 

Furthermore, 19 September 2013, ahead of the 2013 APEC summit in Bali, a new international terminal International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai also officially opened. With this development, the airport's capacity increased from 9.7 million passengers per year to 24.7 million passengers per year. 

On February 14, 2014, Terminal 2 (T2) of Juanda International Airport in Surabaya also began to be used, which increases the capacity of the airport of 8 million passengers per year to 14 million passengers per year. Then, followed by the new operation of the international airport terminal taking on March 22, 2014. 

With this development, the pride airport of the people of East Kalimantan will increase capacity of only 1.7 million passengers per year to 10 million passengers per year. Furthermore, have also been conducted groundbreaking Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang on June 17, 2014. The airport terminal building concept is a floating airport which  is the first airport lies above the water in Indonesia,it will be able to accommodate 7 million passengers per year after development. Angkasa Pura Airports still going and continue to do the construction and development of these airports. Planned, groundbreaking development Syamsudin Noor Airport in Banjarmasin and New Airport in Yogyakarta will be conducted in the 2014's. 

In addition to the construction and development of the airport, Angkasa Pura Airports also has established four subsidiaries in the year 2012, to support the company's business as well as efforts to increase revenues from non-aeronautical sector. The four companies are Angkasa Pura Hotels, Angkasa Pura Logistics, Angkasa Pura Property, and Angkasa Pura Supports. 

This year will set up a subsidiary company again, that Angkasa Pura Retail. Angkasa Pura Airports also make a strategic collaboration with a world-class airport management such as South Korea's Incheon Airport and GVK India in the aspects of operations, commercial, as well as human resource development. 

The entire strategic steps undertaken Angkasa Pura Airports represents the company's commitment to all stakeholders, as well as answers to the mandate entrusted to the State Enterprise (PN) Angkasa Pura Kemayoran 50 years ago.
