JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Magazine, the internal media of PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero), won five awards in the event BUMN Internal Media Awards (BIMA) 2014 which was held by Track BUMN (state-owned company). The event took place in Pondok Indah Golf Club House in Jakarta, Wednesday evening (18/06).

 "In this first-time event, Angkasa Pura Magazine sent four editions which were all published in 2013. The result, Angkasa Pura Magazine received awards in all subcategories of BUMN Internal Magazine category," said Corporate Secretary of Angkasa Pura Airports Farid Indra Nugraha. The list of awards won by Angkasa Pura Magazine are:

Subcategory Best Substance, Linguistic and Systematic:
•Gold Achievement won by Angkasa Pura Magazine, September-October 2013 Edition. 
•Silver Achievement won by Angkasa Pura Magazine, November-December 2013 Edition.

Subcategory Best Content Layout Composition:
•Silver Achievement won by Angkasa Pura Magazine, November-December 2013 Edition.

Subcategory Best Cover:
•Silver Achievement won by Angkasa Pura Magazine, November-December 2013 Edition. 
•Bronze Achievement won by Angkasa Pura Magazine, June-August 2013 Edition. 

"The objective of BIMA 2014 is to promote the role and function of BUMN internal media as a public relation tool to improve BUMN’s performance, image and reputation. In addition, it is also done to encourage quality improvement of BUMN internal media through a fair, transparent and accountable competition," said Hadi M Djuraid of Track BUMN.

According to Hadi, BIMA 2014 is joined by 146 editions of magazine, tabloid and bulletin, which published by 60 BUMNs. "Through BIMA 2014, BUMNs are expected to explore their internal media improvement, because internal media is an important part of a corporation," he added. 

The judges who are involved in BIMA 2014 are A Pandu Djajanto (BUMN Ministry), Sinansari S Ecip (Senior Journalist), Hifni Alifahmi (Public Relation Expert), N Syamsudin Ch Haesy (Senior Journalist), and Nonie Soeparman (Creative Director). The assessment criteria of BIMA 2014 is not only done on visual appearance, but on all aspects of internal media, starting from the effectiveness of public relation function, content layout, cover design, content substance and quality, photo quality, until the use of Bahasa Indonesia. 

"Substantially, internal media has to be informative, aspirational, and effective. With such a complex assessment criteria, where we have to carefully go through each media, has made the assessment and judgment of BIMA 2014 took a long time" said Pandu Djajanto.

Internal media, explained Pandu, is a company’s tool, that funnels news and information about BUMN. "Through this event, it is hoped that the media editors can learn more on how to present the company’s performance in a more informative way. Giving a better contribution to the company through internal media," he said. "We can see that internal media is not less interesting than any other public media. Promote internal media to convey to the employees and to public about what’s going on in the company," add Syamsudin Ch Haesy.

Prior to this, Angkasa Pura Magazine has also achieved the Golden Winner of Indonesia Inhouse Magazine Award (InMA) 2014 which was held by Press Company Association (SPS) on 8 February 2014.
