Lombok Airport and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Begin to Serve Super Air Jet Airline

JAKARTA - Two Angkasa Pura I’s Airports, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali and Lombok Airport in Praya, began serving the new Super Air Jet airline on Thursday, November 18, 2021. The presence of Super Jet Air at Angkasa Pura Airports adds to the variety of airline choices for society.

The inaugural flight of Super Air Jet to the two Angkasa Pura Airports was greeted with a water salute ceremony when the aircraft entered the airport apron. At Lombok Airport in Praya, Super Air Jet’s inaugural flight was witnessed by the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah, President Director of Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi, General Manager of Lombok Airport Nugroho Jati, and Safety, Security, and Quality Director of Super Air Jet Capt. Dodi Arifin.

The inaugural flight of Super Air Jet to Lombok Airport in Praya from Jakarta on Thursday (18/11) landed at 12.30 WITA with flight number IU-762 carrying 179 passengers, while the inaugural flight of Super Air Jet to I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali from Jakarta with flight number IU-754 landed at 18.39 WITA and departed from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport - Bali to Jakarta at 19.19 WITA using an Airbus A320 aircraft which can accommodate 180 passengers.

For the initial phase, the Super Air Jet with Jakarta-Lombok-Jakarta route flies once a day. From Jakarta (CGK), the aircraft departs at 09.35 WITA and arrives in Lombok at 12.30 WITA, while from Lombok, it departs at 13.10 WITA and arrives in Jakarta (CGK) at 14.05 WITA. Likewise, the Super Air Jet with Jakarta-Denpasar-Jakarta route flies once a day with a scheduled departure from Jakarta (CGK) at 14.45 WIB and arrives in Denpasar (DPS) at 17.35 WITA, while from Denpasar, it departs at 18.15 WITA and arrives in Jakarta ( CGK) at 19.10 (WIB).

Super Air Jet had previously made its maiden flight to Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo on November 10, 2021 with the route Jakarta (CGK) - Yogyakarta (YIA) - Jakarta (CGK) and the departure time from Jakarta (CGK) was at 10.30 WIB, arriving in Yogyakarta (YIA) at 11.40 WIB. Meanwhile, the departure from YIA was at 12.30 and arrived in CGK at 13.40 WIB.

The Super Air Jet airline uses an Airbus 320-200 with a capacity of 180 economy class seats and 20 kg of free baggage. In addition, Super Air Jet offers free entertainment such as watching movies, games, e Magazine, and listening to podcasts as well as watching vlogs that can be accessed from mobile phones while flying.

“It is also hoped that the presence of the Super Air Jet can contribute to the recovery of tourism during the adaptation period of new habits in the pandemic era” Faik Fahmi said.
