Semarang - Semarang Ahmad Yani International Airport continues to improve for the convenience of the passengers. Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang will implement a system of  silent airport as did the Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport as of 1 July. "The system aims to provide comfort to users of airport services, as well as reduce noise at the airport," said the General Affairs and Communications Section Head Anom Fitranggono, Friday (31/10). 

Anom greeting describing Silent Airport will reduce the noise level due to the many announcements are broadcast at the airport. However, these services can only be enjoyed by visitors at Ahmad Yani new Airport. According Anom, a silent airport system is not suitable when applied at the airport today. "It's a small airport, the terminal is also limited space so we still use the attendant to announce pre boarding, boarding call 1, 2 boarding call, last boarding, and other announcements," he explained. In addition, continued Anom, the manager of the airport is also collaborating with the Flight Information Display System (FIDS) in each of both the departure and arrival terminal passengers.
