“Doha-Bali route is a regular international route served by I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, following its operation closure since the beginning of the pandemic. To date, Qatar Airways has become the eighth airline serving regular international flight routes to and from Bali,” AP I’s President Director Faik Fahmi said.

“This route also increases the international routes served by I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to six routes, namely Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Doha. We welcome the reopening of the Doha-Bali route with great enthusiasm, considering the potential for additional increases in the number of passengers in the future. We are optimistic seeing the increasing number of regular international flight routes through the route reoperation that will have positive implications for Bali tourism,” he added.

It was recorded that since the operation of international flight routes at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport on February 3, 2022, 24,803 passengers and 260 flights on regular international routes have been served as of Sunday (27/03).

“As of March 24, Angkasa Pura Airports has implemented new international travel regulations in accordance with the issuance of the Transportation Ministerial Circular No. 33/2022. With the enactment of the new regulation, we are optimistic about the increase in flight traffic and passengers on regular international routes at airports, especially in Bali, Surabaya, Manado, and Lombok. The government regulation will also bring a multiplier effect for the economic recovery and tourism industry in Indonesia in a sustainable manner,” Faik Fahmi said.

“The issuance of the new regulations opens up opportunities for other international and national airlines to reopen regular international flight routes, along with easing international travel regulations. We support the regulation through the provision of the best service and implementation of health protocols at the airports,” he concluded.
