MAKASSAR - The South Sulawesi Information Communication Transportation Office made sure that all transportation modes are ready for mudik (hometown travel) flow and mudik backflow. The transportation office also confirmed that there will be no raise in all fares concerning mudik and its backflow.

Chief of South Sulawesi Information Communication Transportation Office, Masykur A Sulthan explained that they had opened complaint center in every terminal and other transportation services to handle complaints about the service. If a fare raise occurred, a passenger can directly report the place where they bought the ticket, so that a follow-up can be done immediately.

"Don’t hesitate to report. We will warn them or even cancel their permit," said Masykur to the reporters at an event together with General Manager of Angkasa Pura Airports Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar Airport Branch, Rahman Syafrie and General Manager of Pelindo IV Makassar, Riman S Duyo, Thursday (17/7).

Rahman explained that they have predicted an increase of number of passengers at 17% for departure and 19% for arrival. To anticipate the increase, they have also prepared service improvement efforts, including setting up a cozy waiting room for the passengers. "We have 152 extra flights with 15 destinations, such as Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Ternate, Denpasar, Manokwari, Semarang," said Rahman. [Diani Sekaring Sejati/Source: Tribun]
