Jakarta – The Technical Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Polana B. Pramesti was awarded the 2014 Kartini BUMN Award by the State-Owned Enterprises for the third time. The recognition was presented to the awardees on Wednesday (30/4) at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta. Attending this event were the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Dahlan Iskhan and Minister of Women Empowerment and Children Protection Linda Amalia Sari .
This year, 63 women from 29 BUMN (state-owned enterprises)holding executive positions or are high officials one-level under the Board of Directors. In 2014, Angkasa Pura Airports nominated Polana Banguningsih Pramesti for her achievement as Technical Director in completing the airport expansion projects, namely I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport, Sepinggan Balikpapan Airport and Terminal 2 of Juanda Surabaya Airport as scheduled .
“The positive progress and performance should be supported to contribute in the transformation process and corporate change. We need to develop a mechanism which enables women working in a State-Owned Enterprise to be more motivated and contribute to our beloved country†said Linda when she delivered her foreword speech.
In this event, the board of judges that consisted of 17 members, included Dahlan Iskan, Nani Subarto and Hermawan Kertajaya. Meanwhile the other member judges came from different professions and backgrounds including the press in order to optimize the assessments..
Polana B. Pramesti, a mother of three sons and one daughter, joined Angkasa Pura Airports in 11 April 2013. Previously, Polana was the Head of Sub Directorate of the Airport Infrastructures, Directorate of Minister of Transportation. She earned a master degree in 1992 from Institute of Technology Bandung majoring in transportation and also received the Lancana Karya Satya award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2010.
