BADUNG --International Airport Ngurah Rai Bali obtain certificates System Environmental Management (EMS) ISO 14001: 2004 / SNI 19-14001-2005 for Management Airport Services of PT Superintending Company of Indonesia (Sucofindo), December 7, 2015 last. Thus I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Bali is the only airport in Indonesia who have obtained the certificate.
"ISO 14001: 2004 is an international standard relating to the management environment to minimize the negative effects of operational activities on the environment which includes air, water, sound / noise, or soil," says Operations Director Angkasa Pura Airports Wendo Asrul Rose in a ceremony of delivery of the certificate ISO 14001: 2004 Inna Grand Bali Kuta, Badung (18/12).
ISO 14000 issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and start introduced in the early 1990s. The ISO 14001 standard includes components and processes management system goes against the environmental aspects of its activities, products or services an organization.
According Wendo, the purpose of the implementation of ISO 14001 environmental management system is as an international standard that supports environmental protection and prevention pollution in balance with socio-economic activities. "This achievement is hoped to further increase awareness of all activities of operational and non-operational at the airport that could potentially provide the negative impact on the environment.
