Semarang - Angkasa Air Boeing 737-400 PK SRG with flight number SRG 081 which departs from Jakarta to Semarang had failed landing on Wednesday morning (18/03). The plane carrying 135 passengers has experienced overrun when using the landing runway 31 and crashed into the perimeter of the fire. The plane that crashed was only stopped after falling into the river precisely at H.19 sector on the grid map Ahmad Yani International Airport. As a result of these events 5 passengers died, 65 people were seriously injured and 65 others suffered minor injuries and faint from shock over the incident.

Meanwhile, at 11:45 pm a fire at the international departure lounge Ahmad Yani Airport. Two unconscious and two people suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident. Not long after, the victims were evacuated by a team of PKP-PK (Relief Flight Accident and Fire) and immediate treatment by Port Health Office (KKP).

Both of these events are just part of the exercise scenario Emergency Response (PKD) Dirgantara Raharja the 81st in Semarang Ahmad Yani International Airport. In this exercise performed three simulation exercises handling emergency conditions consisting of Full Scale Emergency Exercise, Aviation Security Exercise and Domestic Fire Exercise.

PKD Exercise this time involving 800 personnel consisting of Airport Emergency Committee and the Airport Security Committee of PT Angkasa Pura I, Military Command IV / Diponegoro, Battalion Zipur 4 / TK Ambarawa, Battalion 400 / Raider, Squadron 31 / Attack Semarang, Squadron 11 / Attack Semarang , Basarnas Central Java, Semarang Basarda, Lanumad Ahmad Yani Semarang, Semarang Port Health Office, and several hospitals in Semarang as Karyadi Hospital, Telogorejo Hospital, Elizabeth Hospital, Columbia Asia Hospital, and PMI Semarang.

In this exercise also simulated terrorist security in the area of Ahmad Yani International Airport. "PKD Exercise is regularly held every 2 years in each service is intended to test simultaneously evaluate the functions of coordination, communication and command between units and agencies in accordance with the Airport Emergency Plan / AEP and Airport Security Program.
