MANGUPURA, February 3, 2018 - Aviation Security (Avsec) Officer PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Branch Office of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport managed to secure 15,998 lobster seeds to be smuggled out Bali on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 15:28 WITA ago.

Two suspects and evidence in the form of a suitcase containing 27 plastic bags of baby lobster sand typeas much as 13,250 seeds, 7 pocket plastic bags as much as 2,478 seeds, two bottles of cooling and 2 mobile phones immediately secured by Avsec officers for subsequent examination.

"For the irresponsible acts committed by the ground handling officer, our Avsec officer immediately revokes the three suspects' Airport Pass permanently and hands over the perpetrator and the evidence to the Bali Regional Police through Chamber of Fish Quarantine, Quality Control and Fishery Products Safety (BKIPM) Class I Denpasar,"said by General Manager I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Yanus Suprayogi when met separately after a press conference February 2, 2018.

Based on the development results from Bali Police and BKIPM Class I Denpasar, on January 26, 2018 again defeated the smuggling lobster seeds brought from Lombok and then sent to Vietnam via Singapore.

"The arrest on January 26, Bali Police also managed to secure the funders, airport officers who act as a lobster seed carrier to the plane and courier who will bring the contraband in Singapore. Total lobster seed that successfully secured to 26,478 seeds with value reached 3.68 billion IDR,"Yanus added.

"The perpetrators do have intentions, intentional and planned to bring lobster seeds without official documents (contraband) out of the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Currently the case is being processed by the Bali Police,"Yanus explained.

Corporate Secretary of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), Israwadi appreciated the success of Avsec officer at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport who managed to thwart the smuggling of high value lobster seeds. "The success of foiling the smuggling of lobster seeds is the result of good synergy and communication between Angkasa Pura I and Chamber of Fish Quarantine, Quality Control and Fishery Product Safety (BKIPM) Class I Denpasar," added Israwadi.
