Angkasa Pura Airports Beri Santunan Korban Alphard

Sidoarjo â€“ The Communications and Legal Section Head of PT Angkasa Pura I Andrias Yustinian said that the compensation for the victim of the Toyota Alphard accident at the lobby of Terminal 2 of Juanda SurabayaInternational Airport in Sidoarjo, was handed over to the family of the victim on Tuesday, 13 May 2014.

“This is just to show our sympathy and condolence upon the loss of Rafi,” Andrias said at the funeral procession of Rafi at the sending- off ceremony of the deceased to East Bunten Village, Ketapang Sub district, Sampang Regency.

Rafi, 3 years old, died after being hit by a black Toyota-Alphard car bearing license plate no. S 1771 NG which was driven by Agus Winarno, 49 years old. Apparently, Agus had lost control over the car after he had dropped off his employer in front of the lobby. The car then hit several cars in front of him car, before running over the lobby floor.

This luxurious car smashed a pillar and ran over Rafi who was waiting at the lobby floor and died from this accident. The car stopped when it hit a stack of trolleys. According to Andrias, PT Angkasa Pura I has provided assistance to the victim from the very beginning after the accident and bringing the victim to Soekantyo Jahja Hospital, Juanda. Angkasa Pura also provided an ambulance to bring the victim home.

Several employees of Angkasa Pura were appointed to escort the victim to Sampang, as well as handed over the compensation to the family. “We have given the compensation to the victim’s family,” said Andrias. (Source: tempo.co)
