Angkasa Pura Airports Together with 3 SOEs Held the 73rd Indonesian Independence Ceremony in Kulon Progo

KULON PROGO - Angkasa Pura Airports, PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero) or Indonesia Re and PT Indonesian Futures Clearing or KBI held the Flag Ceremony in commemorating the 73rd Indonesian Independence Day at the PalihanVillage Hall, Kulon Progo Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta, Friday (17/8) morning. The ceremony, which was located near one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) for the Construction of Yogyakarta International Airport, was one of a series of SOEs being present for the Country Program initiated by the Ministry of BUMN.

Acting as the Ceremony Inspector, the President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports & PIC of SOEs Present for the Country of DIY Province, Faik Fahmi. Also present at the ceremony were the Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Business Development Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo, Technical Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Lukman F. Laisa, President Director of Garuda Indonesia Pahala N Mansury, President Director of Indonesian Re Frans Y Sahusilawane, President Director of KBI Fajar Wibhiyadi and Kulon Progo Regent Hasto Wardoyo.

"In implementingthe program for SOEsbeing Present for the Country Program this year Angkasa Pura Airports was appointed as the Coordinating SOE / PIC for the Yogyakarta Special Region Province together with Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Re and KBI as BUMN Co.PIC. The BUMN being present for the Country program is our commitment as an SOE to improve the welfare and strengthen the national pride, to all communities in the country," said Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Faik Fahmi.

Angkasa Pura Airports with Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Re and KBI enlivened the atmosphere of the 73rd Indonesian Anniversary in the Village of Palihan, District of Temon, Kulon Progo by holding various entertainment programs& competitions for the community. Some of the competitions were held included  the Climbing Areca Nut Tree for adults and children, clog racing for adultsand mothers, sarong racing, tire rolling, bite watermelon coins, tug of war, and cracker eating competitions. "We would like to express our highest gratitude for the support of the Kulon Progo Regency Government, representatives of SOEs in DIY Province, as well as the community in Temon Sub district who were present and supported the program for SOEs being Present for the Country here," Faik Fahmi added.

In the implementation of this ceremony, Angkasa Pura Airports with Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Re and KBI took the time to provide assistance to fulfill the needs of the people of Kulon Progo. Symbolic handover of assistance was electrification assistance to 100 houses & 70 MCK facilities in 10 villages, assistance in providing clean water facilities in 2 villages for 4 HHs, repairing facilities and infrastructure in 2 Primary Schools, scholarships for 30 students, and building a house of reading in Sleman and Kulon Progo Regencies.

"We appreciate the various assistances in fulfilling the needs of facilities and infrastructure for the community & schools in Kulon Progo Regency through he Synergy between Angkasa Pura Airports, Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Re and Indonesian Futures Clearing. Hopefully this Porgram of SOEs being Present for the Country  will be beneficial for our community,"said the Regent of Kulon Progo, Hasto Wardoyo.

"Through these various activities of BUMN being Present for the Country in the Province of DIY, we hope to strengthen the understanding of the role of SOEs as agents of development and play an active role in improving the welfare of the nation through real work that has a direct impact, especially for the people in Kulon Progo Regency."
