Angkasa Pura Airports, Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Re and KBI Held Bazaars in 15 Villages in Kulon Progo

KULON PROGO - Angkasa Pura Airports in collaboration with PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero) or Indonesia Re and PT Indonesian Futures Clearing or KBI held simultaneous bazaars in 15 Villages in Temon District, Kulon Progo Regency, in the Special Region Yogyakarta (DIY), on Saturday morning (8/18). These Bazaarsare part of the serial program of BUMN being Present for the Country in DIY Province which was initiated by the Ministry of BUMN.

"This Bazaar Activity is a joint commitment between Angkasa Pura Airports, Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Re and KBI to help fulfill the basic needs for the local residents to buy food packages at affordable prices in 15 villages in Temon Sub district, Kulon Progo. There were a total of 3,500 food packages sold," said Director of Business Development of Angkasa Pura Airports, Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo.

People from 15 villages in Temon, Kulon Progo were able to buy affordable food packages worth IDR 100,000, - at the price of only IDR 25,000.- per package. The food package consisted of 5 kg of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, 1 kg of flour and 1 kg of sugar. All proceeds from the sale of the cheap food packages totaling IDR 87,500,000, - was donated directly by Angkasa Pura I, Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Re and KBI to assist in the construction of religious facilities in Kulon Progo Regency.

"Through various series of activities under the program of SOEsbeing Present for the Country in the Province of DIY, we hope to build an understanding of the role of SOEs as agents of development and play an active role in improving the welfare of the nation through real work that has a direct impact, especially for the people in Kulon Progo Regency before the completion of the Yogyakarta International Airport," added Jhony.
