Angkasa Pura Airports Supports Semarang-Singa[ore Direct Cargo Flight Route For Export Commodities

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports supports direct flight services for export commodities from Semarang to Singapore. The inaugural special cargo flight by Garuda Indonesia was inaugurated through the direct flight on Thursday (13/1) at Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang.

The inaugural cargo flight was attended by the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo, Deputy Mayor of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu, the President Director of Garuda Irfan Setiaputra, and General Manager of Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang Hardi Ariyanto.

The various export commodities transported by Garuda Indonesia’s Boeing B737-800NG to Singapore are Central Java’s leading commodities, including fishery products and various MSME products with a total weight of 6.2 tons. This special cargo flight for Semarang-Singapore route is served once a week and departs at 10.30 WIB and arrives at Changi International Airport at 13.40 local time.

“Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang has a strategic location in the northern part of Central Java and is supported by easy accessibility for cargo transporting vehicles. This can help business actors, from large companies to MSMEs, in terms of export. Thus, shipping cargo abroad through Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang can support the revival of the Central Java economy, particularly for SMEs,” President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Faik Fahmi said.

The service realization is a collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including the Central Java Provincial Government, Garuda Indonesia, Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang, Fish Quarantine Center, Quality Control, and Security, Customs and Excise and other agencies.
