Angkasa Pura Airports Serve 3.4 Million Passengers During The Month Of April 2022

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports recorded that it had served 3,423,836 passengers, 35,256 aircraft movements, and 39,891,736 kg of cargo movements at 15 airports under its management throughout April 2022.

If a comparison is made with records in April 2021, where the number of passenger movements served was 2,682,433 passengers, aircraft movements were 38,886 movements, and cargo was 37,022,838 kg, then there was a growth of 28% for passenger movements and 8 % for cargo movement. On the other hand, for aircraft movements there was a decrease of 9%.

The President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Faik Fahmi, gave his statement regarding this matter. "In April 2022, the number of passengers we served again recorded a positive record when compared to the same period in 2021. This is of course the impact of the people's confidence which is getting better, after the past two years people have traveled through transportation. "Air transportation can be said to be very limited because it is affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is also the fruit of the hard work of handling the pandemic from all elements, so that people can again use air transportation modes to travel comfortably, safely, healthily and safely," said Faik Fahmi. .

"The number of passengers that continues to experience growth is also due to factors that make it easier to implement air travel regulations. We are optimistic that with the enactment of the new requirements, namely SE Kemenhub No. 56 and SE Kemenhub No. 58, it will increase flight traffic in Indonesia in general, as well as in 15 airports under our management in particular," he continued.

Among the 15 airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports, Juanda Airport Surabaya served the highest number of passengers during April 2022, with a total of 745,799 passengers, with details of 710,475 passengers on domestic routes and 35,324 passengers on international routes. Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport serves the second largest number of passengers, namely 725,747 passengers, with details of 725,266 passengers on domestic routes and 481 international routes. In third place, Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport serves 583,814 passengers, with details of 469,185 passengers on domestic routes and 114,629 international routes.

For aircraft movements, Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport is recorded to serve the most aircraft movements with a total of 6,377 movements, with details of 6,370 aircraft on domestic routes and 7 international routes. Juanda Airport Surabaya is in second place with 5,850 aircraft movements served, with details of 5,553 aircraft for domestic routes and 297 international routes. I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali serves the third largest aircraft movement, which is 4,535 movements, with details of 3,896 aircraft on domestic routes and 639 international routes.

As for cargo movement, Sentani Jayapura Airport serves the most cargo traffic with a total of 9,698,849 kg, of which the overall record is domestic cargo traffic. Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport serves the second largest cargo traffic with a total of 7,508,124 kg. Similar to Sentani Airport, the total cargo served at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport is all domestic cargo traffic. While in third place the airport with the highest cargo traffic is Juanda Airport Surabaya, with a total of 6,755,253 kg of cargo, with details of 5,538,224 kg of domestic cargo and 1,217,029 kg of international cargo traffic.
