JAKARTA – Angkasa Pura Airport has opened the registration of 2019 SOE Free Mudik (Exodus) program for people living in Jakarta, East Kalimantan, and South Sulawesi. Angkasa Pura Airports will provide buses and Pelni ships for the program.
"This SOE Free Mudik program is one of Angkasa Pura Airports concern for people working in the regions and it is also the company’s contribution to smoothen Idul Fitri exodus in 2019,” said Angkasa Pura Airports president director Faik Fahmi.
Angkasa Pura Airports provides 2,520 seats which are divided into 63 full AC buses for prospective travelers from Jakarta to six cities, namely Semarang, Surakarta, Yogyakarta, Wonosobo, Bobotsari, and Surabaya. The travelers will get a package consisting snacks, medicines, t-shirts, and other souvenirs, including life insurance for the comfort and safety of travelers during the trip to their hometown.
"As for those who travel by ships, Angkasa Pura Airports provides 1,000 seats. In details, 400 seats for route Makassar to Surabaya using motor vessel KM Labobar and 600 seats for route Balikpapan to Surabaya using motor vessel KM Dobonsolo," Faik added.
Free mudik registration by bus can be done online from April 22 to May 4, 2019 on the website mudikgratis.ap1.co.id or direct registration from May 6 to 17, 2019 at the Angkasa Pura I Headquarters in Central Jakarta. As for ships, participants can contact Angkasa Pura I Branch Offices at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport in Balikpapan and at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar from May 1 to May 25, 2019. To register, prospective travelers need to bring their ID card and Family Card (original and photocopy).
The departure will be carried out in stages. On May 30, 2019 one bus from Jakarta to Semarang will depart, and the remaining 62 buses will depart on May 31, 2019 from Jakarta to Semarang, Surakarta, Yogyakarta, Wonosobo, Bobotsari, and Surabaya. Those who travel by KM. Labobar from Makassar to Surabaya will depart on May 27, 2019 while those who take KM. Dobonsolo from Balikpapan to Surabaya will depart on May 30, 2019.
"Through the SOE Free Mudik program, we hope that we can create safe, smooth and conducive exodus so that travelers can gather with their families in their hometown to celebrate the 2019 Idul Fitri," Faik said.
