Angkasa Pura Airports Inaugurates Baitus Salam Mosque in General Ahmad Yani International Airport

SEMARANG - Angkasa Pura Airports President Director Faik Fahmi inaugurated Baitus Salam Mosque in the new terminal area of ​​General Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang on Wednesday (04/10/2019). The white mosque which is built with modern architecture is located in the northside of the terminal building.

Baitus Salam Mosque was built since February 2018 and completed its construction in March 2019. The mosque can accommodate 1,200 worshipers and is nine times larger than the mosque in the old terminal. The ​​4,600 square meters mosque is called "Baitus Salam" which means "house of safety".

"The construction of the larger and more feasible Baitus Salam Mosque is one of Angkasa Pura Airports' commitment to support worship activities of Muslim who use the airport services, airport communities, and local residents. We strive to always meet the needs of service users when they are in the airport area, including the need to pray for Muslims,” Faik said.

The inauguration of the Baitus Salam Mosque was marked by ribbon cutting and inscription signing, followed by performing Zuhur prayer (afternoon prayer) in congregation and providing assitance for orphans.
