SOLO (09/10) - Angkasa Pura Airports is committed to advancing the aviation industry in the country by supporting the six new routes flights operation of Lion Air from and to the Adi SoemarmoInternational Airport, Solo. As for the route to be flown from and to Solo there are Solo-Denpasar-Solo, Solo-Makassar-Solo, Solo-Banjarmasin-Solo, Solo-Lombok-Solo, Solo-Pontianak-Solo and Solo-Palangkaraya-Solo.
The inauguration of 6 new routes from Solo was attended by Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Sulistyo Wimbo Hardjito, President Director of Lion Air Group Edward Sirait, and witnessed by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Senior Advisor for Infrastructure Ministry of Tourism Judi Rifajantoro, DeputyGovernor of Central JavaHeru Sudjatmiko, as well as the Mayor of Solo FX Hadi Rudyatmo in Solo on Sunday (9/10).
"Angkasa Pura I strongly support the opening of 6 new routes from and to Solo performed by Lion Air. The opening of this route is intended to facilitate the mobility of people, especially tourists, from and to Solo via Adi Soemarmo are ultimately expected positive effect on economic growth in the city of Solo and the surrounding areas, "said Director of Angkasa Pura Airport Sulistyo Wimbo Hardjito.
The growth in the number of departing passengers at Adi Soemarmo airportsis experiencing a positive trend. Until August 2016, the number of domestic passengers departing from the airport Adi Soemarmo reached 632 thousand passengers, up 50% compared to the same period the previous year which reached 420 thousand passengers. For international passengers reached 32 thousand passengers, or grow up to 39% when compared to the same period the previous year which reached 23 thousand passengers.
To provide the best service, the future will develop Angkasa Pura Airports Adi Soemarmo service. The development plan to be undertaken includes the addition of an airport lounge of the current state of the area of 13,000 m2 or 580 passenger seats into 15,000 m2 or 960 passengers.
