Back to ListJAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports was ready to implement the latest travel regulations in line with the issuance of Ministry of Transportation Circular of RI No. 36 of 2022 concerning Instructions for Implementation of Domestic Travel (PPDN) with Air Transportation during the COVID-19 Pandemic effective as of April 5, 2022.
The Ministry of Transportation Circular of the Republic of Indonesia No. 36 of 2022 stated that PPDN with air transportation must comply with the following provisions:
“Angkasa Pura Airports together with relevant stakeholders at the airports ensure the implementation of the Ministry of Transportation Circular No. 36 of 2022 in all managed airports. We are also committed to ensuring that the Covid-19 health protocols are implemented in accordance with applicable regulations in order to realize safe and healthy flights for all service users,” AP I’s President Director, Faik Fahmi said.
AP I’s airport officers always ensure the cleanliness of public facilities such as check-in counters, trolleys, self-check-in machines, security checkpoints (tray & x-ray), toilets, boarding pass scanners, handrails, armchairs, and other facilities at the airports, we carry out intensive and periodic cleaning using disinfectants.
Meanwhile, operation officers on duty are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as goggles or face shields, masks, gloves and provide hand sanitizer in terminal areas. In addition, we have set a minimum queue distance of 2 meters at the check-in counter area, security checkpoint, immigration, boarding lounge, aviobridge, baggage claim area and waiting area for public transportation to implement physical distancing.
“We always urge all service users to comply with the applicable travel requirements of the Covid-19 National Task Force and jointly maintain the application of health protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining distance, always maintaining personal hygiene when traveling by air and undergoing vaccination so that the pandemic will soon be over,” Faik Fahmi added.
