MANGUPURA - I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport held the selection of business partners in the commercial area of the airport. The selection process, which is carried out through the website www.baliairportselection.com, was opened on Monday, September 23, 2019 and closed Friday, October 4, 2019.

I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is the main gate for foreign tourists entering Indonesia. The number 1 best airport in the world based on the 2017 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards by Airports Council International (ACI) in 2018 was recorded serving 23.7 million passengers, increased 13% compared to the previous year.

"Of the 23.7 million passengers, six million are foreign tourists. This is an extraordinary potential that can be exploited by business people. For this reason, we invite businesses and brand holders, both local, national and international to be tenants at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport and together provide services to airport service users," said Angkasa Pura Airports marketing and service director Devy Suradji.

The selection of business partners in the commercial area is divided into three types of business lines, namely retail, food & beverages (F&B), and services. The three business lines are divided into 28 packages spread across three commercial areas, namely the corridor area for new domestic arrivals (retail, F&B, and services), international terminals (retail, F&B, and services), and domestic terminals (retail and F&B).

"Specifically for the domestic arrivals corridor which is currently being renovated, in 2018, at least 5.5 million passengers passed through the corridor. Every day, 15,000 passengers pass through this corridor after leaving the terminal. This is certainly a potential that is quite interesting for business people," added Devy.

Meanwhile, the commercial area of the international terminal last year was passed by 12.5 million passengers of international routes while the commercial area of  the domestic terminal is passed by 11 million domestic passengers.

"This large passenger traffic is an interesting and extraordinary potential for business partners to convert into sales. Especially in the midst of the recent decline in aircraft passengers, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport remains to be one of the few airports in Indonesia that has continued to record positive passenger growth,” she said.

To participate in this selection, people can open the page www.baliairportselection.com. On the website, there is a Request for Qualification (RFQ) document which can be downloaded for free. After that, the next step is to collect RFQ documents in accordance with the specified conditions.
