Jakarta, June 19, 2017 - As a form of service readiness in the face of passenger surge during the period of homecoming and reverse flow of Lebaran 2017, Angkasa Pura Airports as the manager of 13 airports in central and eastern Indonesia initiated Ramadhan campaign entitled "Bandara Aman, Mudik Nyaman" (Safe Airport, Comfort Mudik) to communicate a variety of excellent service at the airport to airport service users, in particular passengers, at the time of Ramadan and homecoming-backflow of Lebaran holiday 2017.

In addition, as part of the campaign activities and in support of the Government program in accelerating the homecoming and backflows of Lebaran 2017, Angkasa Pura Airports held Lebaran 2017 Integrated Air Transport Station at 13 airports in cooperation with various parties such as TNI, Polri, Airport, Airnav, BASARNAS, BMKG, KKP, CIQ, the airline, and Ground Handling.

"We feel the need to communicate the readiness of our services to the stakeholders, especially the prospective passengers, so that they can take advantage of our facilities and services during Ramadhan and homecoming and backflow Lebaran 2017 holidays. In addition, the campaign 'Safe Airport, Comfort Mudik' Is an effort to open a direct communication channel with prospective passengers through contact center service 172 and all our communication channels in social media, " Danang S. In an effort to support the Government Program in the conduct of current and forth behind the Lebaran 2017 and as part of the Campaign for Ramadan "Safe Airport, Comfort Mudik”, Angkasa Pura Airports also holds the Post Lebaran Integrated throughout the airport (13 branches of the airport), which is one form Service and readiness of Angkasa Pura I in facing the flow of homecoming and returning Lebaran 2017.

On June 15, it has been opened simultaneously Command Post of Lebaran Transportation 1438 H in 13 Airports. In line with Wendo, (Director General) of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Agus Santoso said at that time, "Idul Fitri is a tradition. Therefore we must prepare well and mature in terms of security and facilities in anticipation of a surge of passengers at the airport because later it will be many people who visit the airport to take or pick up relatives. It's all as a sign that the people of Indonesia have the characteristics of people and harmonious. So we must also keep passengers with high dedication and discipline ".

Passenger Traffic is Predicted to Grow 14.12%

During the period of Lebaran homecoming and returning in 2017, it is predicted that there will be 14.12% passenger growth at Angkasa Pura Airports compared to 2016 with 715,157 passengers in 2017 compared to 6,270,620 passengers in 2016. While increasing plane traffic is 11.49% Lebaran period 2017 compared to 2016 with total traffic of 53,262 aircraft in 2017 compared to 47,771 aircraft in 2016.

Meanwhile, there are a total of 1,732 extra flights with total seats of 309,803 seats in the Lebaran period of 2017 at 10 airports of Angkasa Pura Airports. In this period there are also 4 airports that operate for 24 hours i.e. International Airport of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali, Juanda International Airport Surabaya, Adi Sutjipto International Airport Yogyakarta, and Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang. The other airports are ready standby to operate for 24 hours if needed.

Up to Posts Implementation on 3rd Day (June 18), there were 7.974 aircraft traffic movements with total passengers of 915,483 passenger seats.
