JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports enlivened Christmas in its 14 airports by decorating them with Christmas decorations and various festive activities as well as providing joy for airplane passengers who celebrate the holiday and taking air transportation.

"Various Christmas-themed activities at the 14 airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports on Wednesday, December 25 are part of our commitment of excellent service during Christmas and New Year holidays. Around 6,000 Angkasa Pura I personnel for airport operations are prepared during the Christmas and New Year periods," said Angkasa Pura Airports president director Faik Fahmi.

Angkasa Pura Airports, Faik added, is not only ensuring smoothness and operational security during the holiday season, but also making more efforts by initiating festive entertainment activities so that the joy and warmth of Christmas can be felt for passengers who take air transportation.

Some of the activities are decorating Christmas cookies at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, Christmas music performances at Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarmasin, children's ballet at Adi Soemarmo International Airport in Solo. Besides, in every Angkasa Pura I airport there is a Santa Claus who goes around the airport and distributes souvenirs to the passengers. They warmly welcomed Santa Claus and take picture with him.

A German passenger at Juanda International Airport named El appreciated the event. He and his family who planned to continue their trip to Bali said that the activity was very positive.

"The children are very happy and impressed with the cake decorating event. Although our children are not fluent in Indonesian language, they are really happy because of the warm welcome of the Airport Ambassadors," El said at Juanda International Airport.

Muhammad Arief, a student from Malaysia, also voiced similar opinion, saying “We just finished learning Arabic in Surabaya for a month today and will return to Malaysia. It was very exciting to be welcomed at the airport with this activity. I’m happy when suddenly I was asked to join the cake decorating event and given souvenirs.”
