Angkasa Pura Airports Dispatches 2,520 Free Exodus Trips Participants

JAKARTA – Angkasa Pura Airports dispatched 2,520 free exodus trip participants travelling by bus through the SOE Joint Exodus program in 2019. 

Angkasa Pura Airports President Director Faik Fahmi sent off the departure of the participants of SOE Joint Exodus with Angkasa Pura Airports in Kemayoran Low Cost Apartment (Rusunami) at Jl. Benjamin Sueb, Jakarta on Friday (31/5).

“In total, there are 2,481 travelers departing by 62 buses today. The travelers departed to six cities, Semarang, Surakarta, Yogyakarta, Wonosobo, Bobotsari, and Surabaya. Earlier on May 30, 2019, we also send off 39 travelers travelling by a bus to Semarang along with the opening of 2019 Joint Exodus which was carried out by SOE Minister Rini Soemarno at the Bung Karno Sports Complex in Jakarta,” Faik said. 

During the trip, the travelers were also provided with packages of snacks, medicines, t-shirts, souvenirs and life insurance to increase the comfort and safety of travelers during the trip to their hometown. Angkasa Pura Airports also requires the condition of a bus carrying travelers to fulfill the aspect of the safety by passing Ramp Check and the driver should pass health and drug test.

In addition to dispatching travelers who take land transportation, Angkasa Pura Airports has also dispatched 1,000 travelers travelling by Pelni ships. 

"A total of 400 travelers of Makassar-Surabaya route have departed through the Soekarno Hatta Port-Makassar Port on May 27, 2019 using KM. Labobar and 600 travelers of Balikpapan-Surabaya route have departed on May 30, 2019 through Semayang Port using KM. Dobonsolo,” Faik said. 

The 2019 SOE Joint Exodus program is a series of events of Joint Exodus initiated by the Ministry of SOE to minimize the risk of traffic accidents and meet the needs of people with middle-low income for homecoming. The 2019 Joint Exodus was participated by 104 SOEs, increased 67.74 percent compared to 2018 which was followed by 62 SOEs. In total, the Ministry of SOE and other state-owned companies dispatched 250,474 travelers of which 3,520 travelers departed by Angkasa Pura Airports. It was the second time for Angkasa Pura Airports in participating the program after succeeded in sending 2,000 travelers using 50 buses to three cities, namely Semarang, Solo and Yogyakarta in 2018. 

"Through this SOE Joint Exodus with Angkasa Pura Airports, we hope to be able to support a safe, smooth, and conducive exodus trips so that travelers can gather with their families in their hometown to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2019," Faik added.
