Angkasa Pura Airports Awarded as "Best Organizational Transformation" By The 2018 SOEs Awards

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports won "The Second Best Organizational Transformation" award at the 7th BUMN Awards event for 2018 organized by BUMN Track Magazine and supported by PPM Manajemen. The award was handed over directly to the President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Faik Fahmi and witnessed by the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia Arief Yahya at the 2018 BUMN Award event held at Hotel J.W. Marriot, Jakarta, Thursday (9/8) night.

"This award is a recognition for Angkasa Pura Airports’ performance, particularly in organizational transformation and human resources. As a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE or BUMN), Angkasa Pura I is always committed to creating top-quality human resources. We make effort so that all personnel of Angkasa Pura Airports have a high sense of competitiveness towards service-oriented culture to deliver positive contributions to the company and to the airport service users," said Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Faik Fahmi.

The BUMN 2018 Award is an annual event to recognize the contribution of BUMNs or SOEs that have demonstrated outstanding and competitive performance at national and global levels. In the 7th event, the 2018 BUMN Award upheld the theme "Strengthening SOEs in the Country and at the Global level". There were 120 state-owned enterprises and subsidiaries of state-owned companies participating in the initial phase selection. From the 120 companies, there were 86 state-owned companies that passed the judging process through corporate interviews.

The criteria for the 2018 BUMN Award included: focused on business performance, financial performance, leadership and corporate governance performance throughout 2017. In addition to corporate performance, the winners of the best CEOs of BUMN and SOE Subsidiaries were also selected. The judging process followed three stages: questionnaire selection, presentation of the questionnaire material in front of the Jury and interview CEO chaired by Dr. Tanri Abeng, MBA.

In May 2018, Angkasa Pura Airports also was awarded for "Best Companies to Work for Asia 2018 - Indonesia Chapter" held by HR Asia - Business Media International magazine based in Malaysia. The award from the SOE Track is the second award received in the month of August after receiving the “Sliver Winning” award for the 2018 Indonesian Best Contact Center category organized by the Indonesia Contact Center Association (ICCA) held on August 3, 2018.
