Angkasa Pura Airports And TNI Air Force Signed MoU And Joint Agreement

BALI - Angkasa Pura Airports and TNI Air Force of the Republic of Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Utilizing the Company's Fixed Assets for the Base Ops Relocation Development of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.  Both parties also signed an Agreement on the Joint Use of the Ambon Pattimura Air Force Base for Civil Airport Services. The signing of the covenant and the Cooperation Agreement was executed by the Director of Human Resources (HR) & General  Affairs of Angkasa Pura Airports, Adi Nugroho with the Air Force Commander for Operations Command III, Tamsil Gustari Malik at Novotel Bali Ngurah Rai Airport Meeting Room on Friday (10/8) morning.

"The signing of the joint agreement between Angkasa Pura Airports and the Air Force is a synergy of the two agencies based on the spirit to improve the facilities & infrastructure at Bali I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to support the 2018 World Bank Group Annual Meeting to be held in October," said Angkasa Pura Airports Director of Human Resources & General Adi Nugroho.

By signing the Joint Agreement, Angkasa Pura Airports will build the Base Ops and Safe House buildings at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to replace the Base Ops and Safe House of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport that was affected by the construction of the apron capacity building located on the east side apron of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. This joint agreement is valid for 2 (two) years after the signing.

Angkasa Pura Airports as the manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali has prepared several measures to welcome the delegates of the 2018 World Bank Group Annual Meeting. Among the measures are: extending the operating hours to 24 hours, adding  the runway capacity to 33 flights per hour from the existing 30 flights, adding the Rapid Exit Taxiway from 3 to 4, enlarging the parking stand capacity to 63 parking stands from the existing 53 parking stands, expanding  the international check-in counter from 96 check-in counters units covering 2,470 square meters to 126 units with an area of ​​4,420 square meters, and increasing parking capacity for cars from formerly 600 units to 1,615 units. Through this development, the  passenger capacity will be enhanced to serve 22,650 passengers per day and this would mean that the airport is ready to welcome 17,000 delegates and 23 heads of state to the 2018 IMF World Bank Annual Meeting in October.

In addition, the signing of the agreement between Angkasa Pura Airports and the Indonesian Air Force also included the operational use of the Patimura Air Force Base as a civilian airport and the use of state property (BMN) of the Indonesian Air Force at Pattimura Air Force Base. The scope of the agreement which covers operational activities is the Work Environment Area, Airport Master Plan, Flight Operations Safety Zone, and Airport Operational Hours. Whereas the scope which includes the activities of State Property Utilization (BMN) consists of issues such asthe status of land, tenure, assets of former airports, fixed contributions and profit sharing.
