Adisutjipto Airport Yogyakarta Gained ISO 9001:2008 Certificate

Yogyakarta (12/15) - Adisutjipto International Airport proved its commitment in improvement of both in terms of facilities and services, to obtain a Certificate of Quality Management ISO 9001:2008, a quality standard of service to passengers in accordance with the quality standards set by the International community.

ISO 9001:2008 is a standard requirement that was created by the International Organization for standardization and has become a benchmark of quality. Obtaining the certificate of quality standard was a visible demonstration of commitment to the quality of Airport services. Through a series of processes Internal Quality Audit in June 2016 and also an External Audit in August 2016, so on September 5th 2016 Adisutjipto Airport Yogyakarta received ISO 9001:2008 category aircraft passenger services (PJP2U) issued by PT. United Registrar of System (URS) Indonesia.

The ISO 9001:2008 certificate category aircraft passenger services (PJP2U) which was achieved by Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport, was based on an assessment of the implementation of security standards for passengers in the airport area. In detail, based on the assessment component of document control, control, control of quality records, internal quality audits, corrective and preventive actions, management review meetings, checking of airport facilities, the settlement of the complain, the airport maintenance of electronic equipment, training of the emergency measures, as well as baggage inspection procedures in screening check point (SCP)1.

Implementation of ISO 9001, which became the standard reference for quality management services for passengers at the Airport, is important. This was because the ISO 9001: 2008 provided the infrastructure, procedures, processes and resources needed to help organizations monitor and improve performance in order to boost efficiency, customer service and product excellence.

Chief Director of Angkasa Pura Airport, Danang S.Baskoro in his speech expressed his appreciation to the management of Adisutjipto International Airport for its success in achieving the implementation of the Quality Management System ISO 9001: 2008 at the Airport of Yogyakarta. "Hopefully, this achievement can be an opportunity not only for the airport management, but also for the entire airport community with, in order to continue racing provide the best service for customers. Customers’ satisfaction is one important thing. Consistency and commitment becomes an important thing to hold,” exclaimed Danang.

“Providing the best service for passengers who adjusted to the rules and procedures applicable standards has become a task for us. With the achievement of this quality management standard, we expect to continue to work to provide the best without even rule out standard procedures that apply,” added Agus Pandu Purnama, General Manager Adisutjipto Airport.
