Achieving Good Performance For Investment, Angkasa Pura Airports Wins 2019 Best SOE

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports has won the "2019 Best SOE" award in the field of "Non-Financial" in the "Transportation and Infrastructure" category at the "Investor Awards 2019" event organized by Investor Magazine.

The award was given to the Angkasa Pura Airports President Director Faik Fahmi at the "Investor Awards - Indonesia Financial Figure 2019" event held at Balai Kartini in Jakarta, Thursday (12/12).

"This award shows investors’ confidence in Angkasa Pura Airports which has good business performance so that it is considered having prospect as an investment instrument," Faik said.

For information, Angkasa Pura Airports issued Bond I Series A, Series B, Series C worth Rp2.5 trillion and Islamic bonds or Sukuk Ijarah I Series A, Series B, Series C worth Rp500 billion in 2016. For two years in a row since 2017, Bond I and Sukuk Ijarah I Angkasa Pura Airports received "Triple A" rating from credit-rating agency Pefindo.

In the last three years, the company has also shown excellent financial performance with double-digit profit growth in percentage. For example, profit in 2017 soared 23 percent compared to 2016’s profit from only Rp1.1 trillion to Rp1.4 trillion in 2017. Meanwhile in 2018, Angkasa Pura Airports saw a net profit growth of 41.2 percent, with a net profit value of Rp2 trillion, increased from Rp1.4 trillion in 2017.

 At present, the company is intensively building and developing several airports as a form of support for a better air connectivity and the development of Indonesia’s air infrastructure. The airports which are being developed or have finished its developments are General Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang, Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarmasin, Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo, Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, and Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar. The first three airports are included in the National Strategic Project (PSN).

 In early May 2019, Yogyakarta International Airport began operating for some domestic flights. It is targeted that one of the largest airports in Indonesia will be fully operational to serve domestic and international routes by the end of March 2020. Meanwhile, the new terminal of General Ahmad Yani International Airport has been inaugurated by President Joko Widodo and has been operating since June 2018. Then, the development of new terminal of Syamsudin Noor International Airport has been completed and has been operating since December 10, 2019.
