BALIKPAPAN - Angkasa Pura Airports of Sepinggan International Airport Branch Balikpapan recorded, during this time; there were 11 companies that followed the second stage of auction for commercial area in the new terminal. Of the 11 companies, Sales Department Head of Angkasa Pura Airports of Sepinggan International Airport Branch Balikpapan Jarot Handolo said, they were consisted of local and national companies. Almost similar to the first stage, this second stage of auction was still be followed by food and beveranged tenats and retails.
“For international tenant, no one follow this second stageâ€, He explained to Kaltim Post, Sunday (6/4). He explained the second stage auction had been opened since February ago was differenet to the first stage, in which the participants shall register and submit the bidding documents by website that had prepared by Angkasa Airports.
“This second stage of auction, the participants can simply attanch document in the office of Angkasa Pura Airports of Sepinggan International Airport Branch Balikpapan. We will make selection, but the final decision remains in the central office,†He said. Further Jarot explained, the manually document submission was intended to make local company interested to open booth in this commercial area can be joined.
As the addition, Jarot explained that in previous first stage auction, Angkasa Pura Airports had determined 17 companies that will place 30 spots provided. However, among those companies, not all of them are started to operate. Totally, the Angkasa Pura Airports has prepared 80 spots commercial area pf 16.000 m2 special to support the first boutique mall concept in Indonesia. The details of package area that had been auctioned such as 16 packages for food and beverage, 19 packages for retail, 2 packages for lounge area and 1 package for duty free area.
