YOGYAKARTA – In a bid to establish communication, strengthen cooperation, elaborate potential business opportunities at airports, and welcome the presence of Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulonprogo, Angkasa Pura Airports gathered business partners, prospective business partners, and business and brand owners in the "Tenant Gathering" event. This activity was held at Hotel Tentrem in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (11/14/2018).

"Through this 'tenant gathering', we want to provide updates on business at airports that are still wide open and can be developed together. This opportunity is also a forum for communication and aspirations for Angkasa Pura Airports and its business partners to synergize strategies and work on the market optimally in the future,” said Angkasa Pura Airports marketing and service director Devy Suradji.

According to Devy, in the last five years non-aeronautics revenue in 13 airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports grew 24 percent on average.

"Activities such as 'tenant gathering' are one of the strategies to increase non-aeronautics income. On this occasion, we also introduced the concept of 'new airport city' along with business opportunities at the airport and provided an overview to business partners about the concept of an international-standard store," Devy said.

Business opportunities at airports, especially in Yogyakarta, will be wide open with the presence of Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo. In the first stage, the new airport will be able to accommodate up to 14 million passengers per year or 9 times greater than the Adisutjipto International Airport in Yogyakarta. For information, in the period of January to September 2018, Adisutjipo International Airport, which only has a capacity of 1.8 million passengers per year, has served up to 6 million passengers or grew up to 10.66 percent compared to the same period last year which was 5.3 million passengers.

"The relatively high potential of passenger growth each year from and to Yogyakarta is a potential market for business owners at the airport. Hence, we invite business partners, business people and brand owners to attend, grow and provide services to airport service users in Yogyakarta,” Devy said.

On this occasion, Angkasa Pura Airports also gave awards to the best business partners in the fields of food and beverages, retail, and services at Adisutjipto International Airport. The best tenant award for the food & beverages category was given to PT Harri Eko Tirta (Solaria), PT Sarana Citra Adikarya (Starbucks Indonesia) and PT Angkasa Pura Hotel (Concordia Lounge). The best tenant award in the retail category was given to PT Sekar Ayu Lestari (Everymart store), PT Periplus Bookindo (Periplus bookstore) and clothing batik company PT Batik Keris (Batik Keris). Meanwhile, the award for the best category of services was given to PT Candi Agung Majapahit (Securitech wrapping baggage), logistic service company PT Angkasa Pura Logistik (TBS), and Kokapura Avia (car rental).
