Domestic Departure Flow Adjustment

The completion of Juanda Airport Terminal 1 expansion has made the area usable and therefore, domestic departure routes have been adjusted. As for the adjustment of departure flow, prospective passengers start from the departure platform or lobby, then continue to check or validate health documents as a condition of flying using PeduliLindungi application in the lobby area. Then, prospective passengers head to the new terminal lobby to enter the check-in area which has now been moved to the new terminal. After checking-in, passengers pass through the old ex-check-in counter area and take the escalator to head to the existing waiting room. This flow adjustment has been implemented since October 20, 2021.

In relation to the supporting facilities for implementation of the health protocol, Surabaya’s Juanda Airport operator provides three PeduliLindungi self-check kiosks to facilitate prospective passengers to validate health documents. This facility complements the previously provided services, including antigen test facility and vaccination center. For antigen self-test, a drive thru service is currently available at a cost of Rp88, located in the four-wheeled vehicles parking area of Terminal 1.

In order to anticipate the density and distance to pass through by passengers on the new departure route, prospective passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before scheduled departure time. In addition, prospective passengers are also advised to comply with the applicable health protocols and re-assure the travel requirements to the destination cities, so that the trip will be more comfortable.
