Three Airports Of Angkasa Pura Airports Increased The Number Of Flight

Three airports which are managed by Angkasa Pura Airports; Sam Ratulangi Airport Manado, Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar, and the El Tari Airport Kupang officially increased the number of flights. Increasing the number of flights on some routes of the airlines is expected to increase in passenger traffic and connectivity of the Eastern region of Indonesia, which in turn can contribute positively to economic growth in the region.

At the Airport El Tari Kupang, today (Thursday, 12/8) has done inauguration Lion Air Airline’s first flight route from Kupang-Lombok. Meanwhile the day before (12/7), International Airport Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar had been officially increasing the new flight route of Makassar-Madinah from Saudi Arabia Airlines with the number of flights two times a week. In Sam Ratulangi Airport Manado, there were additional operating domestic airline; it is NAM Air with three routes, which plans to effectively operate at December 9th 2016. Three such flights are Manado-Sorong, Manado-Ambon, and Manado-Ternate.

“Support for the addition of these route flight in three Airports of Angkasa Pura Airports, was our effort to increase its passenger traffic in the country and improve connectivity in the Eastern region of Indonesia. Eastern region of Indonesia will be more connected and accessible, is expected to improve the distribution of people and goods, which in turn leads to increase economic growth in the region,” said Israwadi, Corporate Secretary Angkasa Pura Airports.

 

NAM Air in Sam Ratulangi Manado

Three route flights of NAM Air from and to Manado fly every day. These Manado-Sorong first flight was scheduled at 04:30 am and Sorong-Manado at 12:10 am. The second flight Manado-Ambon was scheduled to take off at 15:55 pm and Ambon – Manado 15:55 pm. While the third flight Manado-Ternate at 13:10 pm and Ternate-Manado at 15:30 pm.

General Manager of Sam Ratulangi Airport Manado, Nugroho Jati said that the presence of NAM air could spur development at the same time shortening flight connectivity in Eastern Indonesia. It can also open up more access for people and tourists who will visit North Sulawesi.” We are fully support all the Airline which will open new flights, furthermore the airline domestic which are operated in Sam Ratulangi Manado, they are Garuda Indonesia, Sriwijaya Air, Citilink, Batik Air, Wings Air, Air Fast and NAM Air.” Until November, the total traffic of passengers in amount 2, 3 million or increased 25% from the same period of last year in amount 1, 9 million passengers. Passenger growth increased somewhat optimistic was also because of the presence of the Airline and the new flight service, “said Jati.

 

Lion Air Airline in Kupang and Saudi Arabia Airline in Makassar.

Thursday,(12/8)it has been conducted the inaugural Lion Air’s first flight route Kupang-Lombok which was arrived this afternoon at 12:59 pm with the number of passengers as much as 24 and the route of Lombok-Kupang fly back at 13:55 pm with the number of passengers as many as 44 people.

One day before, Wednesday (12/7) also inaugurated service flight Saudi Arabia Airlines Makassar-Madinah Airport with flights twice a week every Wednesday and Saturday. Managing Director General Sales Agent- Indonesia Saudi Airlines Andri Bermawi said that the opening of the new service is in line with the growth of passengers on a spiritual journey to the holy land, especially in the segments of Umrah. The opening of a direct flight route was based on the movement of Umrah pilgrims from South Sulawesi which touched the number at around 165,000 people per year. The aircraft fleets were prepared to serve the passengers of the Boeing 747-400 Makassar double-decker with a capacity of 450 passengers.
