Sleman - Right on the 70th Independence Anniversary of the
Republic of Indonesia, Terminal B Adisucipto International Airport in
Yogyakarta, Sleman, officially opened on Monday (17/08).
The Terminal building of 7,000 m2 and a capacity up to 600 thousand passengers
per year is operationalized to improve service to passengers in the pride airport

of a new airport in Kulonprogro.
"The capacity of the existing terminal Adisucipto Airport is currently
only able to accommodate 800 thousand passengers, but it has to serve 3.8
million passengers in 2014. While waiting for the construction of a new airport
in Kulonprogro, Angkasa Pura Airports initiative to build Adisucipto Airport
Terminal B," said Operation Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Yushan
Sayuti.
Yushan expect service at Adisucipto Airport could be better again. "Although we realize that this is not necessarily enough, but at least we
can improve service to passengers," added Yushan, after welcoming the

B's.

the terminal B will at least be able to reduce the density of passengers in
Terminal A by 40%," says Yushan.

built pedestrian (sidewalk) and flat escalators to facilitate passengers. "The distance is about 280 meters. In the future you want to create a flat
escalator along 180 meters, the remaining passengers can walk," says
Yushan. "Clearly, the construction of Terminal B is an additional facility
of public space. In addition, appropriate message Minister of Transportation,
commercial space at Adisucipto Airport will also be reduced," he added.
Yogyakarta Adisucipto Airport General Manager Andi G Wirson added, Terminal
B was built for 1.5 years and spent 20 billion IDR budgets comes as the existing
support facilities in Terminal A. "For example, the vehicle parking area,
taxi counter, and others. In terms of facilities Terminal B is not much
different from Terminal A, but the concept and feel of the interior is further
