Jakarta, March 11, 2022 - Six airports under the management of PT Angkasa Pura Airports won an award as Best Airports in Asia Pacific by Size & Region at the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards 2021 from Airport Council International based in Montreal, Canada.
The six airports that won awards at the 2021 ASQ Awards are Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar, SAMS Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan, and Yogyakarta International Airport for capacity of 5-15 million passengers per year category, Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang and Adi Soemarmo Airport in Solo for capacity of 2-5 million passengers per year category and Pattimura Airport in Ambon for capacity below 2 million passengers per year category.
“This award is given in international recognition for Angkasa Pura Airports’s commitment to maintaining the best service standards. Amid the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, Angkasa Pura Airports always listens, adapts and prioritizes excellent service to all service users and puts emphasis on safety, security, comfort and health aspects,”President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Faik Fahmi explained.
This award, Faik Fahmi continued, is the result of Angkasa Pura Airports personnel’s hard work and sacrifice to sincerely and consistently provide the best service to airport service users during the pandemic. “The management would like to express its deepest gratitude to all business partners, communities and relevant stakeholders at the airports, especially at the six airports, for the established synergy and collaboration so that Angkasa Pura Airports can achieve this achievement,” Faik Fahmi added.

ASQ is the only global benchmarking program that measures airport passenger satisfaction levels through 34 key performance indicators. Based on the data in 2021 with more than 370,000 surveys, 111 awards have been awarded to 88 airports worldwide for the Best Airport by Size & Region category. ACI has adapted a stringent quality control process to ensure ASQ survey findings and benchmarking are of the highest quality during the COVID-19 pandemic.
