Director Arista Indonesia Aviation Center (AIAC) Arista Atmadjati said East Indonesia indeed save a great opportunity to work on the aviation industry, both in airport management, airlines and so forth. "Because, the condition was still sleeping. Well, the current government began to indulge, from the terminal building, extension of the runway and so forth. This in turn stimulates the growth of passengers, "he said.

Arista added it is possible the number of passengers served Angkasa Pura I in the future, going beyond Angkasa Pura II. Moreover, the government is also boosting the tourism sector, especially in Eastern Indonesia. Besides, he added, the airline also began to target the market in eastern Indonesia due to the extension of the runway. Because, with the longer runway, the air capacity will also be enlarged.

"So I'm sure Angkasa Pura Airports could overtake Angkasa Pura II. Perhaps the time is not long, let alone the number of airports that are in the eastern region is also actually a lot more than in the west, "he said. [Source: Bisnis.com]
