Lombok Praya Airport Operating 24 Hours For Three Days To Support Transportation For Humanitarian Aid For NTB Earthquake Victims

LOMBOK - Angkasa Pura Airports Lombok Praya Airport Branch Office will be operating for 24 hours on Monday (6/8) to Thursday (9/8) to support the distribution of the humanitarian aid for the NTB earthquake victims as well as to facilitate the high demand for extra flights.

"With the quick response fromthe public and the government to distribute humanitarian aid to NTB earthquake victims and to meet the demands for extra flights, Angkasa Pura Airports extended the operational hours to 24 hours from the regular 18 hours operations of 06.00 - 24.00. "We also prioritize airplanes carrying humanitarian aid," said by Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Faik Fahmi.

The additional flights (extra flights) will be granted to airlines upon the coordination with AirNav Indonesia in consideration of the airport capacity. Angkasa Pura Airports shall continue to collaborate with the relevant government authorities in monitoring the latest conditionof the area and coordinate with the airlines in anticipating the changes in the aircraft types and request for extra flights.

"We have worked together with various stakeholders to help and restore the area after the earthquake. We express our highest gratitude and appreciation to the management, staff and stakeholders of Lombok Praya Airport for their dedication in handling the humanitarian aid services," Faik Fahmi continued.
