I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali Resumes Regular International Flight Service from SIngapore Airlines

JAKARTA - I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali resumed regular international flight service from Singapore Airlines on Singapore-Denpasar (SIN-DPS) route. Boeing B787 with flight number SQ938 landed at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11.50 WITA, carrying 158 passengers. The same aircraft with flight number SQ939 departed from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali at 13.00 WITA, carrying 61 passengers to Singapore.

“We are very excited to resume regular international flight service with SIN - DPS - SIN routes from Singapore Airlines. The resume of the flight operation brings hope for the community and the revival of Bali tourism which has been greatly affected since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Angkasa Pura Airports  President Director Faik Fahmi said.

Based on the flight route permit received, Singapore Airlines will operate on a regular and daily basis. Flights with numbers SQ938 and SQ939 will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with arrival at 11.50 WITA and departure at 13.00 WITA. Meanwhile, flights with numbers SQ944 and SQ945 will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with arrival at 19.05 WITA and departure at 20.15 WITA.

Angkasa Pura Airports together with all relevant stakeholders at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali ensure that all international passengers visiting Bali undergo each inspection process in accordance with applicable regulations. International passengers are required to pass several processes after landing at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, including:

  1. Pre-Flight: before flying to Bali, prospective international travelers are required to fill out e-HAC through PeduliLindungi application, present a full vaccination certificate, have 3x24 hours negative PCR test results, fill out an electronics customs declaration (e-CD), have quarantine hotel booking documents, ensure immigration document and have travel insurance;
  2. Have their body temperature checked using Thermo Scanner;
  3. Check Point: At this phase, the airport officer will help international travelers input data from their e-HAC, control the data and print their respective QR codes. The Company provides 20 counters with a waiting seat capacity of 300 seats. Registration process time takes 1-2 minutes/person.
  4. The Port Health Office (KKP) officers will ensure the completeness of health documents;
  5. International travelers undergo RT-PCR test with a sampling process time of 1.5 minutes. The Company provides 20 RT-PCR test booths.
  6. The officers will check the immigration documents with a checking time of 1 minute. The Company provides 32 immigration counters. International travelers collect baggage from a conveyor belt with a processing time of 20-40 minutes;
  7. Tapping electronic customs declaration (e-CD) with a processing time of 0.16 minutes.
  8. Passengers tap a QR code checkpoint and confirm hotel reservations and transportation.
  9. Passengers head to the pick-up area to go to the quarantine hotel.

“In general, the time required by passengers to undergo the inspection process is around 1 hour. We will continue to monitor, evaluate and ensure implementation of strict health protocols to support the realization of a safe and healthy journey for all passengers,” Faik Fahmi added.
