Committed To Eradicate Bribery, Angkasa Pura Airports Implements Anti-Bribery Management System

JAKARTA – Angkasa Pura Airports (Persero) is consistently and continuously committed to implementing SNI ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ABMS) within the company. This becomes a tangible manifestation of the company’s steps in mitigating the risk of bribery that is detrimental to the company and stakeholders.

The implementation of SNI ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ABMS) is also the company’s initiative in supporting the Government’s program in the context of preventing bribery and corruption within State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).

“The implementation of SNI ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management Systems is our efforts as a State-Owned Enterprise with an obligation to uphold the principles of integrity and openness. In addition, this is an effort to enforce the principles of good corporate governance, and evident in fighting corruption, collusion and nepotism, gratification, and acts of bribery within Angkasa Pura Airports, involving both internal parties and external institutions,” AP I’s President Director, Faik Fahmi said.

“Currently, we are entering the implementation phase for the Surveillance 1 ABMS Audit. In this phase, we consistently meet the established targets and program plans, by upholding the 4 NO’S principles, namely No Bribery, No Kickback, No Gift, and No Luxurious Hospitality,” Faik Fahmi continued.

The phases in ABMS Surveillance activities include (1) Preparation Phase; (2) System Development Phase; (3) Implementation Phase; (4) System Review Phase; and (5) Certification/ Surveillance Phase.

SNI ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) is a standard designed to specify the requirements and guidelines used to help prevent, detect, and deal with bribery, especially in the company’s internal environment.

In an effort to combat bribery and corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) within the company, Angkasa Pura Airports (Persero) has collaborated with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The collaboration on the Handling of Complaints in Efforts to Eradicate Criminal Acts of Corruption is intended to strengthen the whistleblowing system within the company.

“We continue to strive to create a corporate environment that is free from criminal acts of corruption, collusion and nepotism as well as bribery, by consistently and continuously carrying out the supervisory function and strengthening the system,” Faik Fahmi continued.

“To carry out the supervisory function, a Gratification Control Unit has been established, so that Angkasa Pura Airports personnel and general public who know of allegations of bribery involving employees and company directors can report to the team via the website, telephone, or e-mail. In addition, four work units have currently been certified, namely the Procurement, Finance, Accounting, and Shared Services Management units. Other units will gradually carry out certifications,” he concluded.
