Angkasa Pura Supports Flagship Commodity Cargo Export Services From Bali and Manado to Japan

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports supported cargo flight services for flagship export commodities from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali and Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado to Narita Airport in Japan using Garuda Indonesia aircraft.

The ceremony of the flagship export commodity cargo flight release at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali was attended by Garuda Indonesia Commercial Director Ade R. Susardi, Head of the Bali Province Trade and Industry Service I Wayan Jarta, Head of the Airport Authority of Region IV Putu Eka Cahyadi and General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali Herry AY Sikado, on Wednesday (2/2) afternoon.

Garuda Indonesia airlines used Airbus 330-300 to transport export commodities cargo. Export commodities flight from Bali to Japan departed at 19.25 WITA with fishery products in the form of fresh tuna weighing 6 tons. The aircraft arrived in Manado to make a transit at 21.30 WITA and transport fishery cargo and other types of commodities weighing 14 tons.

“I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali and Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado occupied a strategic position in supporting export activities of flagship commodities, particularly fisheries in Bali and North Sulawesi Provinces to penetrate the Asian market. Looking ahead, we hope that the export cargo shipping service through the two airports can support the economic recovery in Bali and North Sulawesi Provinces in a sustainable manner,” AP I President Director Faik Fahmi said.

The service realization cannot be separated from the hard work and synergy of all stakeholders from the Governments of Bali and North Sulawesi Provinces, BKIPM, Customs and Excise, Garuda Indonesia and the business actors to jointly encourage the improvement of logistics distribution services for flagship export commodities through the airports.

For information, international and domestic cargo traffic at Bali Airport in 2021 reached 31,319.929 kg (unaudited). Meanwhile, international and domestic cargo traffic at Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado in 2021 reached 16,576,800 kg (unaudited).
