Angkasa Pura Airports Wins Top 10 For SOE Business Expansion Award

JAKARTA - After winning the "The Best SOE 2019" award from Infobank Magazine on October 25, 2019, Angkasa Pura Airports has won a similar award from Warta Ekonomi Magazine "Top 10 for SOE Business Expansion" in the transportation and warehousing sector. It shows that Angkasa Pura Airports is a state-owned enterprise that continues to develop and expand to carry out the role of SOEs in contributing to the country's development along with increased profit growth.

The award was given by SOE Ministry’s Deputy of Financial, Survey and Consultant Services Gatot Trihargo and Warta Ekonomi CEO & Chief Editor Muhamad Ihsan to Angkasa Pura Airports Vice President Corporate Planning and Transformation Ramdan Pradarma at the Warta Ekonomi SOE Award 2019, themed "Devising Adaptation and Transformation Contingency" at Balai Kartini Monday (28/10).

"The SOE Award 2019 for the category Top 10 for SOE Business Expansion confirms the role of Angkasa Pura Airports, which is quite significant in contributing to the country, both financially and in developing the country, specifically related to the development of air connectivity in the central and eastern regions of Indonesia. This air connectivity will ultimately stimulate an increase in economic growth in the region,” said Angkasa Pura Airports president director Faik Fahmi.

In terms of to business expansion, Faik added, Angkasa Pura Airports has been actively developing its airports. This year, there are two airport that have begun operations, namely Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in Kulon Progo (greenfield airport development) in June 2019 and the New Terminal of Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarmasin which will start operating in November 2019. Other airports which have been and will soon be developed are Adi Soemarmo International Airport in Solo, Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar, and Lombok International Airport in Praya.

"SOE AWARD 2019 is a form of appreciation for SOEs that are able to adapt and transform as well as capable in using technology intensively for the interactions with their customers," Ihsan said.

At the SOE AWARD 2019, Warta Ekonomi research team focused on financial performance, strategic policy in carrying out innovation or business expansion. Besides, willingness and ability of SOE to adapt to technological changes both in operational and technical aspects in order to provide the best experience for customers were also taken into account.

The parameters of the assessment are the 2018 financial statements issued by the company to assess the performance of SOEs during the year, monitoring the innovation policies carried out by the company in terms of the application of technology and the company's concern for social and environmental aspects.
